Can you create reference points in the part module?

Not thinking of partitioning, but just points so I know where some bolts will be places in that specific part. Is there an easy way to mark these points on the part?

Yes, you can do it in the Part module (Tools --> Reference Point) but in this case, it might be sufficient to create datum points (Tools --> Datum --> Point).
