Can you cut-extrude to an offset from mutliple surfaces?

Lets say I have a block with a flat front face and a wavy, multi-surfaced back face. I make a sketch on the flat front face that, if projected, would intersect with a couple different surfaces on the back wavy face. I want to make a cut into the block, using that sketch, so that it is 1.5mm from the back wavy face.

What I want to do is a cut-extrude command, 'Offset from Surface, with the ability to pick more than one surface to offest from.
Hopefully that made sense.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

Because you are spanning multiple surfaces you have a problem. Try making a new surface that is offset from the collection of surfaces by the 1.5mm. If this indeed generates a single surface (I haven't tried it to know) and it is to your liking then it is a simple matter to extrude to this surface.

I don't think that you can select multiple surfaces, but there is a very simple way to accomplish it.

1) Create a new surface consisting of all of the separate back surface of the part:

Insert -> Surface -> Offset (set the offset to zero and select all of the 'wavy' back surfaces)

This will create 1 single surface that matches the back of the part. It will still update as the model changes.

Now when you extrude, you can select the single back surface to offset from.
