Cannot connect line endpoints to other endpoints/origin

Hello,

I am new to NX, I am currently using NX 7.5 for my work. I found that when I try to make a sketch the endpoints to the lines do not connect to each other. For example, if I make a rectangle and dimension a side to the length I want, the dimensioned side would disconnect. Is there a way to fix this?

You need to toggle them ON, on your point menu.

Also, check that you have the 'create inferred constraints' option turned on in the sketch settings (and customer defaults as needed).

Thank you!

The line segments do not disconnect from each other anymore, but I am still having the issue of it not being constrained to the origin. Do you know what setting I need to turn on?

Assign a Colinear constraint between the horizontal line and horizontal axis then do the same for the vertical line and vertical axis. You could also use a Point on Curve constraint between the endpoint of the lower horizontal line endpoint and the vertical axis and the left vertical line and the horizontal axis.

There's probably another one or two ways this could be done the above are just how I prefer it to be done.

if still not connected, you can use make corner option to connect the lines.
