Cannot delete CGR files from directory

I have a number of CGR files in some directories I would like to delete. I attempt to delete these using Windows explorer but I cannot. An error message says "Windows cannot find the specified file, to make sure the you specify the correct path and filename" Same result using DOS command window and the "del" command.

Any suggestions?

Works. Now tell me WHY I can't just delete them. Is there some background process accessing them?

if CATIA is open it might prevent something... who really knows.
