Alright, here's my problem. Anyone who can provide advice, please respond.

I have a problem with my Mutliline Text Editor in AutoCAD 2002. I can just barely make out the text in the editor box. Everything else works fine. My text comes out clearly in the *.dwg file. I am able to edit and make changes to my text. The only thing is that it is very difficult to read the text when it is in the Multiline Text Editor. You can make out that it is white, but it is as if someone had rubbed it off but not completely off. You can just make out the words.

I have a similar problem that I've learned to live with:
When I edit text with the multiline text editor, the text is visible as the same colour as the layer it's on, but the cursor is virtually invisible. Always hard to tell just what character it's sitting on until I start typing. I've fiddled with the colour scheme, but it's a product of having control over the background colour, but NOT the cursor colour the editor's window. The only solution is to change the background colour using "pref" (config), hit the display tab, change the colors, and make the background a slightly different colour.
I live with the limitation because the grey background colour that causes this problem is the easiest on my eyes, IMO, and I stare at the drawing much more than at the editor text box.
Since I use R14, and you're still having it in 2002, this looks like a case of YAPTDF (Yet another problem they did't fix).

Just in case I didn't understand you:

I actually found that the way to make the "illegible" text in Multiline Text Editor "legible" is to go to Control Panel and then to Display. Under the Effects folder, be sure to *uncheck* Smooth edges of screen fonts.

Thanks, everyone.
