Hey guys,

In NX8.5 I am trying to create a datum hanging off a hole dimension. The first one snapped to the midpoint of the extension. Perfect. But all the others snap to the endpoint of the extension. see picture. How do I get it to snap to the midpoint of the extension?

Thanks,

Mike...

It seemed to go to the midpoint each time for me.
What are you using to create this datum ?

Jerry,

I am using NX 8.5 to create the datum symbols. I noticed in my copy of NX 7.5 the attachment point is in the center of the leader. It's NX 8.5 that is attaching the datum symbol to the end of the leader. Are you using 8.5?

Do you know of a way to switch the attachment point from the center to the end of the leader. Or more importantly from the end back to the center?

jerry- unless ur useing 8.5 u won't know the problem. I think it a bug.
BTW- thanks 4 ur opinon, kind of?

Using NX 8.5, I can't get it to attach to the center of the dimension stub. It appears that it is going to work; but when I click for the datum placement, the leader shifts over one way or the other. You might want to open an IR with GTAC.

did anyone find solution to this problem? having same problem in NX8.5.
