Hi.
I would like to run CATIMP utility in CATIA 4.2.2 on Unix, in order to extract model files from an EXP file on my HD. The problem is that I can't select the input file using "STRING" field because it doesn't find anything!! (And also I'm not sure about choosing between the sources "DISKETTE" and "TAPE_8MM"...).
Can somebody explain me the correct procedure?

Thanks,
Claudia.

Hi,
I have not Catia 4.x at home :) But in my meory (bad!), you could tell CATIMP the EXP file by entering the complet path (e.g. /tmp/mymodel.exp). If your exported file is in harddisk, not use "DISKETTE" and "TAPE_8MM" option.

Don't forget choose the output directory for your model file.

Hi, vnpenguin.
Thank you for your quick answer.
I tried to write the complete path of the file, but the field is very very small, only 8 characters. It looks like very strange...
Moreover it seems that I MUST choose between DISKETTE and TAPE_8MM before going further, but it's impossible to copy the file on a floppy (33 MB!!).
I'm starting to think that my program has some bug, I don't know...

Do you know if it's possible to open EXP files with Pro-E?

Claudia.
