Can't select part geometry when re-associating notes (NX7.5)

So, everyone in my office has been having this problem with NX7.5 except for me, UNTIL TODAY. The problem occurs when trying to move a leader of a pre-existing note. When the note is selected and the dialog box highlights "Select Terminating Object", it doesn't actually allow selection of the part geometry. Also, there is no preselection highlighting unless I hover the cursor over centerlines, center marks, hatching or other leaders and notes (everything I don't need). The selection filter seems to be glitched. This is very frustrating since it worked perfectly until today. I haven't messed with any settings. I now have to resort to recreating a new note and deleting the old one. Any thoughts, anyone?

Should we help somebody with a nickname like this ?

Compare the attached picture to your session when moving that leader, the point snap options should be activated similarly.

Regarding the preselection problem, there has been quite a few discussions on this forum on this.
Is your graphics adapter an Nvidia quadro of a late generation ?

Sorry about the nickname. I just thought it was funny (I think UG is fine)
Anyway, You totally saved our entire office. Turns out, nobody was "docking" their selection bar. If the bar isn't there, it automatically unchecks all the snaps. They all assumed that they were set, but after docking and setting the snap icons like the attached picture, everything works as it should. Thank you very much!!!
