SALUTE TO ALL OF YOU GUYS

THANKS FOR FOUR SUPPORT, I REALLY APPRECIATE IT A LOT

I WANT TO DO THIS QUESTION TO YOU...IS IT FEASIBLE TO WELD A 2.65METERS (8.7FT) CANTILIVERED IPE BEAM FROM ANOTHER IPE BEAM? OR SHOULD I NECESSARILY WELD IT FROM A COLUMN?

IF IT CAN TO BE CONNECTED TO A BEAM, WHAT MOMENT CONNECTION YOU WOULD RECOMMEND TO ME?

THANKS

Your drawing and pic don't match. (As the pic shows it off-center from the column.) But to answer your question: yeah, it's feasible. Assuming it did come into that girder (as shown), the girder would need fixed connections to the column. My first choice would be to connect it to the column though. A lot depends on the load.

As far as connection details....get Blodgett's 'Design of Welded Structures'. He's got a moment connection for anything you want.

With the backspan you show in the model, I don't see why you couldn't do that. But I agree it would generally be simpler (and that usually means cheaper) to have it connected direct to the column.
