Has anyone been able to get an out of plane capacity for the aluminum breakaway clips used for a fire rated shaftwall assembly? The clip is intended on holding the wall in place in case either side of a building structure burns away and leaves the clip on the protected side in place. In this scenario, you would need to check the system for a temporary wind exposure. Both USG and Dietrich offer this clip and so far I have been stonewalled as far as getting a capacity from either. Perhaps the screw connections themselves would be the controlling factor in lieu of failure at the clip itself, but I was curious if anyone else had looked into this.
