I have to make a 1/2" carbon pipe w/ screwed fittings to 3/8" stainless tubing transition. This is 150# steam service for heat tracing application. To be most conservative, Id like to use a C/S 1/2" RFWN flange to S/S 1/2" RFWN flange with isolation gasket kit. From there, Ill bush down to 3/8" swagelok tubing adapter. Any comments?

I would use a 1/2" female x 3/8" swagelock fitting and be done with it. I don't think you will see any galvonic corrosion issues between the cs and ss in steam service.

Just my two cents.

Thanks for the feedback. This was my first thought, also. Its a picky customer and I wanted to be conservative, and felt it wouldnt break the bank.
