Cargo Container Modification

Does anyone have experience designing and/or modifying steel cargo containers (like the ones on ships)? We have a potential project that requires a little more than our 2 person office can handle and I would like to pass this off to someone who deals with these things daily.

In general the project involves modifying cargo containers to function as portable shelters.

If this belongs in another post, will someone let me know.

Although shipping containers are manufactured overseas once in the US the company I work for does perform fabrication work and can convert a standard container into a portable office, lab, generator station, whatever is needed.
