A 9m test drop requirement is standard for all dry casks used in the USA. Go to the NRC's website and you can find a list of all approved cask manufacturers - they al lmeet the requriements and therefore all meet the 9m drop requirement.

I have just joined this forum and was browsing around, saw your message. I am currently working for a company who design nuclear casks, and I am specifically invovled with the design of them to withstand hypothetical accident scenarios (building f.e.m. models to simulate accident test scenarios).

Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions. chris_monk@gns-gnb.de
