I have a drawing for a spindle clamp that calls out the following material: G00 UNI 5007-69. Do you know where I can find some technical information on this material? Is there an equivalent grade in the US market?

I have not be able to find any information relating to this material.

Thanks.

UNI 5007 Grey iron for castings. Qualities, requirements and tests covers gray iron castings (flake graphite). A similar standard in the US is ASTM A 48 Standard Specification for Gray Iron Castings.

I don't think G00 is an accurate designation. Possibly a misprint?

Cory
