Back in Aug, I got involved in a casting issue and since then have been drawn deeper and deeper into our internal process. Now I am being tasked with finding alternate casting suppliers. Again, being relatively new to the casting world, I am looking to the forums for some starting points.
I am looking for a company that can take a finished 3D model (UG or Pro/E), create a pattern, and cast up to 120 pieces. Typically cast iron. Overall size is within the 20in x 20in x 6in range, around 50lbs.

I apologize in advance if I am using the wrong forum for this search, but I gotta start somewhere...

Thanks
Michael

120x50 lbs is a small quantity for a foundry to get interested in development work. It will be better if you can get the pattern done else where, but you need to discuss with the foundry regarding, pattern design, match plate and the suitability to the mold boxes available with the foundry.

I hope this helps.
