Hello,

I am using V4.2.4 and think there is a problem with my CATIA environment. When I create a solid with a chamfer (just using SOLIDE+CHAMFER+CREATE), I noticed that after running CATCLN (/cln), I get the following error message:

ERR 115
CAT 1 INVALID PRIMITIVE STRUCTURE DETECTED
THE PRIMITIVE HAS LOST SOME LINKS NECESSARY
FOR THE GEOMETRY DEFINITION

THE FOLLOWING FEATURES MUST BE DELETED:
$CHAM IN WORKSPACE MASTER
DELETED
PRIMITIVE IN *SOL1
1 ERRORS DETECTED

I am using the following /CLN parameters:
CAT 1: NONE
CAT 2: MODIFY
CAT 3: PACK
FMT: ALL

If I change CAT 1 parameter to DELETE, the chamfers get deleted from the solid. If I recreate the chamfers, I get the same problem. Our parent company is running supposedly the same environment, but if I send them the model, they don't get any errors running CATCLN.

Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance.

This is a known bug. Contact your local Catia support and they'll sent you a patch disk.

AndyRich,

Thanks for your reply. Our IT administrator contacted IBM and got the patch. It has yet to be implemented, but it should solve my problem.

Thanks again.
