Dear All,

Is it correct to assume that a wet sour gas with 20% H₂S and 40% CO₂ could potentially fall under Category M (ASME B31.3) due to the high hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) content?

Could? Yes. But it entirely depends on the owner's classification/designation of a piping system. As you may know, there's no list of substances or fluids that are 'typically' Cat M.
