Can anyone give estimate figures for cathodic protection needs of mooring chain used for buoy in seawater as a factor of depth?
our buoy made of HSLA and it will be protected by zinc anodes.
we use chain as mooring line. this will be continue to 60m bellow the surface.
I want to know if this chain needs to be zinc protected? and how much depth under the water we should use zinc anodes?

thanks all friends

in Persian Gulf.
in general I want to know how corrosion change with depth? about 60m. will it corrosion decrease with increase in depth?
