Catia CPD Macro?

I'm currently working a new user in Catia's CPD module, and wondering if anyone has a macro that sounds like this?

Permanently link (in the design tree) an Excel "Ply Table" spreadsheet. So that one may do all there updates through the spreadsheet, that corresponds directly to the model without losing connectivity.

I would like minimize using the "Ply Table", "Interactive Ply Table" and "Ply Table" feature if all possible.

What are your thoughts and could it be done?
