I'll start by saying that I have very little experience with Catia. This question has likely been asked before, but I haven't found a solution online, or from any of my collegues.

When dimensioning a hole on a drawing in Pro Engineer, I would add details of the hole e.g. depth, chamfer size, counterbore etc to the hole diemeter dimension. Then all of the information for that feature is in one place on the drawing, and I don't need additional dimensions, leader lines etc to detail small Features of the hole. When doing this, you can use the original dimensions by referencing their names e.g. "CHAMF &d25 x &d23" where d25 and d23 are the size and angle of the chamfer. Anyone who has used ProE before will know what I mean.

How, if at all, do you replicate this in Catia?

I'm not a ProE user, but it sounds like you're asking about CATIA Parameters.

To use parameters to "drive" various features, such as a Hole or a Chamfer:
1. Use the Formula icon (looks like f(x) )to add new parameters
a. name the parameter with a descriptive name
(such as "CHAMF DIST", instead of "D25")
b. give the parameter a value, or
c. add a formula to calculate the value
2. Instead of just typing in a value when making a feature,
a. right-click in the value box
b. choose the Edit Formula option
c. choose a parameter from the Parameter branch in the tree
