Catia edit properties 2

Please, see the name of the two bodies in the picture.
I need to replace the non-hybrid Body (in top) with the one below it.
I copied/pasted the Solid.74.
Now, I want to take the final step: to place the same name into the hybrid Body, but Catia doesn't allow me to use the backslash sign.
Is there any way to be able to do this?

Hi,

It can be done in macro. So, time to code...

I would suggest you to first try to record something, for example search a string like MANIFOLD and then change in properties the MANIFOLD with something else - /MANIFOLD . This will give you an idea what can be done (if something will be recorded.

So, force user to select the body where you want to write / sign, search in selection for a string which appear in all your bodies (I suppose is MANIFOLD), then replace MANIFOLD with /MANIFOLD.

Search also the forum for some examples.

Don't be afraid, some things can be done only with automation, not manually.

For some of us is not a complicated macro but if you want to start coding can be a good start. When I started to learn coding in CATIA, I didn't know any other language, even more, I was hating programming . I'm still learning (no joke)...
