CATIA Inconsistency On Different Computers

Hello,

I am a student designing a product on my laptop using CATIA V5R20. I have also been using a different school computer to do the work while there. I transferred the model to the same computer I use in school. Some of the changes I made show up, but some part modifications I made do not. I saved all the parts in the assembly using the "Save all" option on my laptop. However, the part modifications are not showing up. Only the new components I brought in and their constraints I made within the assembly are showing up, not the individual part modifications I made. What is the fix for this issue? I put in all my files in there, there are no errors in CATIA notifying me that anything is missing when I open the assembly. Please help. Thank you.

Hello JMorton,

My best guess for the source of your inconsistency would be that the the two computers are running different sets of licenses and thus you don't have access to those in which you created parts or features. Another issue might be the differences in update levels or even releases.

Regarding the save issue, you should use the Save Management (File -> Save Management), overwrite the parent product and click on the Propagate directory button to ensure all parts are taken into account when writing the product to disk.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Thank you, the Save Management worked. This saved me a lot of work.
