Is there a IUA call similar to GIRDAS (for 2D axis systems) to read the origin and vectors for a 3D axis system. I have looked thru the online Catia documentation until my eyeballs are falling out. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
there is no direct call, but You can use
GUMSEL to select axs
GUSPOP to get axs id form stack
GIRIDE to get axs name
GIRMAT to read axs matrix

It soyunds like all you are conserned about is whats up in the DRAW mode .............Each view created is driven by the active axis in use at the time the draw view is created...............In most cases its the space geometry that difines the draw axis pending the active axis in space when creating a aux view........You must have an understanding of the relationship betweeen aux vu and spc vu (ACTIVE AXIS) each time a draw view is created.Think of holding an object in your hands and visually projection it down to draw vu.............from space........The key to understanding the above is to be able to manage the axis system throughout the design process....for deveping aux views and the space geometry in space.
