Hello,

I am trying to do a section view from a reference plane (let's say x=3) by using a macro.
I can already do this using Insertion/Annotations/Views annotation Planes. Then placing it in drawing using Views/Projections/from 3D.
I've tried to record the macro; but didn't work (not sure if that means it's impossible using macro).

Is there another way to do this? My goal is to make it easy to make a section view just by defining the cut plane. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

If you have the front view, you can VBA the creation of the section view using DefineSectionView , check the v5Automation.chm file

with no front view you can use DefineStandAloneSection and provide all parameter based on plan selection... have fun.
