I have to admit that I try to avoid GSD. That;s because I can't handle this tfeature good enough......

You can create a very high-fidelity model of this part using 2D/3D curves and surfaces in CATIA V5 with GSD. In fact, this is the way formed sheet metal brackets were modeled back when we used good old CATIA V4. The images posted by ferdo show just how difficult it can be to create an accurate wireframe and surface definition of a complex formed sheet metal part. Even the last (yellow) image he posted of the bracket did not look like it was a 100% accurate representation of how the formed sheet metal bracket would appear. But like I said, it is not easy to accurately model this type of part.
