Catia R22 performance issue

Hello,

I am having the same problem as mentioned in this topic: thread560-404763 - catia R22 is incredibly slow and laggy to use with large assemblies or complicated parts, but the same assemblies opened in catia R23 and above work very smooth and fast. Has anyone know how to solve this problem? Changing/resetting catsettings or updating GPU drivers does not help. My workstation is HP Z4 with Nvidia Quadro P4000 (I tested also on workstation with GPU K4000 with the same results).

Have you checked in "options window" - Infrastructure-Product structure- if the load options are equal in R22 and R23?

I tried different settings also the same as R23 (cache, cgr, visualisation mode, 2D/3D accuracy) or even resetting them to default - R22 is always significantly slower than R23. In fact R23 settings are optimized for best visualisation and it still works very well.

Ask your DS VAR if they can find something in DS Knowledge Base. For me it seems to be a bug...probably they will ask you more details and a sample...

Hello,

I finally solved the problem by enabling "CAT_VBO_ALLOWED" option in "HP Performance Advisor" - now R22 runs as smooth as R23 (although this option does not help if cache mode is enabled).
