catia to 3dxml specification tree

hello,

can you help me with this,
i need to export my catia product as 3dxml and paste it on acrobat but the problem is
adobe acrobat shows the part number and instance number in their model tree.. like this
x124124(x124124.1)
i need to export my catia product as instance name only as 3dxml file that should like this
x124124.1
can you help me guys?

use Tools + Options to customize the Assembly Specification Tree to contain whatever information you want.

I think jackk is talking about this . The answer is (I believe), you cannot do what you want because it will show you always the names of the files and not only instances names and numers.

So, your solution might be to have files names equal with instances names (but instances numbers will be different).

so basically it cannot be done in catia? or can i delete the part number instead and remain only the instance name??

because i need to export to show only one name, and the name duplicates in model tree when i export it,

Did you tried to do it in CATIA (delete as you can say) and export 3dxml then open it in 3dxml player?

yes i tried deleting it by clicking its own properties and removing its file name but when i clcik "okay" or "apply" nothing happens part name will still be there, or if possible i cannot do it one by one because i have like a hundreds of part name to remove and it will take a lot of tine.

Thanks Fernando. Yes, the Nodes Customization is what I was referring to. I didn't realize the customized tree was not passed to 3DXML.

How about some of the CATIA viewing tools: do any of them export 3DXML data with a tree? 4D Navigator, 3DVIA, CATIA Composer
