Catia V4 using ranges for Keywords Lay(001-029) 1

Hello,

I was wondering if any of the CATIA V4 users know if it's possible to select a range of Layers or Colors using selection keywords. It makes more sense for Layers.

For instance if I wanted to add LAY001-LAY010 to a filter is there anyway I can use UNIX search options like * or ? for adding Layers 001 to 099 by using LAY0* or LAY0??, instead of *LAY001+*LAY002 etc.

I've tried this out but have not found it possible.

Am I correct or am I missing something.

when creating or modifying an existing filter, the list of layers pops up, then you can key in 1,10

this will toggle layers 1 thru 10.


you do not put in the *lay string.

Thanks, I knew that for Filter you only type the numbers in, but was unaware of using the comma for from,to range selection. I'll give that a try next time I have Catia up.

I was wondering if range selection could be done for other commands such as NS which is why I typed in the LAY001 in my original post.
