CATIA V5 3D pattern

Can CATIA V5 pattern a feature (or prefferably a part) along a 3D helix? other programs have curve driven patterns. What have some of you done as a workaround for this issue.

Power copies instantiated by script is the usual answer to this query. you do require a KT1 or PKT license the instantiate a power copy or UDF by script.
 
I'm not sure about the licensing but I think the KT1 is for instanciating.

If you want a complex pattern with udf then u use the "loop" in knowledge advisor, if you want to use parts then it's "knowledge pattern feature" and you need to define the pattern with knowledgeware

PowerCopies come with any basic P2 CATIA configuration (i.e. MD2).

User Defined Features require a PKT to create, and a PKT or KT1 to instanciate.
 
and a Power copies require a KT1 or PKT to instantiate if you are trying to do it via the automation API.
