I have a dimension, "5,00" with a dimension line, extension line etc. When I add text below the dimension, the dimension line just becomes a stub and doesn't underline the full dimension.
I assume this is just a setting that needs changing but I can't find out how.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I added the text as your above example, in dimension texts.
I never had trouble in the past with this, it worked just like your example. the problem has appeared recently, possibly on a company network update or profile reset.
I have a seperate drawing where the settings are correct and that works fine, but when I create a new drawing the problem persists.

I have opened the older drawing where the problem doesn't exist, resaved it, and copied in all of the sheets from my new drawing. The settings on this drawing are fine and every new dimension I draw is correct.
This is not a long term fix but it will do for now.

If anyone has a proper solution it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

But how did you add the text below? Where in the dimension options? looks like you have added a return to get the second line thus resizing the extension line.

I added the text as per your first example, underneath main value.
I simply added text to that box just like you did, it happened with all types of dimensions on different sheets and views within the drawing.
