Catia V5 - Measurement 1

Hi,
How could I measure in Catia distances along a vector (I'd like to measure in the attached picture the shortest distance between thse two bloks, the paralel distance or the distance along the smal edge of either bloks).

change both selection modes to ANY GEOMETRY,INFINITE, and re-measure the two faces

I find this mode provides the results I want in most cases.
