My company just acquired a Catia license to do some Ford work and I also use UG NX and Pro/Engineer on a daily basis (same computer). I would like to change the mouse settings in Catia so that the zoom/pan/rotate is the same as the other CAD programs to make my life easier. I believe the default Catia mouse settings are:

Zoom: middle button supressed + tap left + move mouse up/down to zoom
Pan: middle button supressed while you move mouse to pan
Rotate: middle + right, move curser

What I would like them to be:
Zoom: middle scroll
Pan: Shift + middle
Rotate: middle

Is there a way to change the settings??

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, I do not know of any settings for this. I too found it awkward and almost exclusively use my SpaceMouse Pro. Once I got used to it I now use it for every CAD and FEA package I use. I typically only use the mouse for these actions if I am presenting and didn't bring my 3D mouse, I am helping someone at their terminal or remote desktoping. I hope this helps.

The easiest way to get comfortable with the CATIA V5 zoom/pan/rotate behaviour, is to accept it for what it is. Don't try to turn it into Pro/E or NX because it won't... and you will be frustrated!

Not what I wanted to hear but thanks for the responses. I do need to convert to a space mouse so I guesss this will force me to.

Once you do you will never go back on any CAD package. If it doesn't work at first for you consider flipping if; pulling towards you or up, zooms in. One will be much more intuitive to you.
