Catia V5 - Mouse properties 3

[CAD2015]

Hi,
My company's IT staff installed a new mouse (Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse v2.0) on my computer (IT people come here just once in a while, our headquarter is located in another place)
Catia V5 installed on my desktop does not recognize the mouse wheel for rotation use (no spaceball available either).
How could I make this mouse rotate (and acquire all the other mouse related View moves) my 3D models in Catia V?

Middle mouse autoscroll wheel needs to be set to Middle button.

If you want to rotate you can keep ALT instead of mouse wheel.

Try changing the Mouse settings from the Windows Control Panel.

I'm not familiar with the mouse you have (and I don't like using scroll wheels with CATIA), but hopefully you can set the scroll wheel to "middle button" as DBezaire suggested. I've done that in the past with other 3-button mice.

I'm surprised your IT folks didn't set this up for you. They should know that you are running CAD programs. I'm also surprised you didn't get on the phone to your IT support and get help from them.

I placed calling my IT as the last option......
I wanted to to fix the problem by myself, learning something new.........!
