catia v5 r18 sp6 - not responding error

I am updating a drawing with new data. the drawing has a main view and from that view I have a section VIEW and several section CUTS. The main and section VIEWs will update within 2 min's each but the section cuts cause a not responding error that hangs forever. (15 hours was longest without force killing the system).
*This is a new drawing
*The data is the same for all views
*The issue seems to be with section cuts only (but not all of them)

HELP PLZ
