Catia v5 - Restart view naming on each sheet

Hello everyone,

I have a unique question (maybe not for some ) and was hoping someone could help me.

I have created a part with a lot of part bodies inside. In actual each part body is a separate part in itself and needs an individual production drawing. While drafting these part bodies, I created just one drawing file so that in future I don't have to open drawings of these 60-odd part bodies each times in-case a design update comes through.

Now each part drawing needs some section views. Suppose part number 1 requires 3 sections i.e. section view A, B and C. Same for part 2 and 3. When I will go to next sheet which is supposed to contain drawing for part number 2, catia drafting will continue view naming from D onwards. Now what I want is to restart view naming on each sheet (considering its a single drawing file in catia).

Is there any way or option to make this possible?

Any help would be really appreciated.

You can rename the views after generating in the view properties.

I already know that. But what I am looking for is an option which does it automatically for each sheet. I don't want to waste time renaming 100-odd views on a drawing.

Hi geobilal,

I explored the drafting options but could not find any option for controlling the section view naming.I think it is possible only with macros.
