could anybody tell me what i should do if the von mises values (after the static anlysis) is not displaying in the color palette. the color shows on the part & it looks right. if i move the mouse over the part i can see the values. too. that means its calculated it right.. but i cant see it on the color palette (stack bar on the right which comes with every analysis results)
any kind of help would be appreciated.

The first thing that comes to mind is the "color palette" may have been dragged off the screen. You can try dragging it back (while in the results view pick the axis on the bottom right hand corner of the CATIA window, this will dim your 3D model and activate your color palette for zooming and panning, Fit All In does not work like it does for the Spec Tree) but it may be easier to clean\delete your CATSettings.

thanks kookoo. but the problem is i can see the color palette . but i cannot see the von mises values.

Are you in Material Display mode? This needs to be turned ON to see the FEA Results in Color.

Nevermind. I didn't read fully. Sorry.

So it's the Text values that you are missing? Is there any other text on the screen that should be there but isn't? Like in the tree?

thanks catjim....

sorry for late reply..

yes, i can see other text on the screen like in the tree.

Have I seen your post elsewhere?

I still suspect a graphics problem. Most of the graphics problems that I have seen with CATIA V5 start out with some of the text onscreen disappearing. FEM is the most graphics intensive workbench (all of those elements), and this is where I usually see these kinds of things start. In my case, it was the Tree that became blank.

Try setting the resolution of the screen down and restarting CATIA. If the text shows up then, then your problem is definitely graphics related.

PS are you in Windows or Unix? We remember a PMR about the color palette on AIX a few releases back.
