Good Morning All,

Hoping for a little help with a modelling question.

I have attached an image to try and explain but basically the boundary shown in the image (white surface boundary). I need this to be a surface break line on the red surface underneath. Similar to how you can see the black surface break lines from the features on the surface I need to create these break lines from the parameters of the white boundary whilst ensuring it's on the surface.

I've tired a few methods such as projected the boundary to the surface, trying to break tool, splitting and cutting however can't seem to find the easiest method to just create a line in the surface based on this white boundary element. Any assistance would be appreciated, i'm running out of ideas.

Recommended for you

1) in Generative Shape and Design (GSD) create an extract of the surface you want to scribe the lines onto.
(you can do this by using an extract by tangent or by creating a join and selecting each surface)
2) trim the extracted surface to your profile.
3) in part Design use Sew Surface
a) deselect "Simplify geometry"
b) select your trimmed surface
c) make sure the arrow is pointing into your part
d) select ok

this should work for you. if it doesn't, then try simplifying the geometry.

Cheers for the suggestion.

Had a little play with it, took a while but it seems to have worked perfectly. Thank you for the help.
