I need to find section properties in the english system for Cee purlins 2" x 6" 14 gauge & 2.5" x 6" gauge. My project calls out for the 2 1/2" but can only fine 2" so need to find math to show equivalent spacing. las vegas area

I don't do a lot of CFS stuff, but occasionally use a freeware program called CUFSM to design CFS stuff... it has a pretty 'shallow' learning curve, but documentation is a little sketchy. There are good examples on youtube.

In that reference 271828 suggested, look for 600S200-68 and 600S250-68. If the market only has 600S200-68 (some CFS manufacturers don't have the die or equipment to make 2.5" or 3" flange), then you could keep the same spacing and use 600S200-97. Because if you use an equivalent spacing, it'll be something weird like 14" on center. There's nothing technically wrong with that, but it's not standard and there is a high chance the spacing will be screwed up on site.

Sheeting material may not align with odd spacing. CUFSM inputs standard CFS shapes and you can use it for irregular shapes, like Z purlins, too.

i would recommended to you a software named (CFS) cold formed section , i use it everyday in my cold formed design , its easy to use and report is very good and satisfied .
