retainerwalls

I am building, literally, a 300-foot cement retainer wall ranging from 4-8 feet in height adjacent to a private road.

To improve the aesthetics, I was thinking of coloring the cement to the native adobe color and then applying a stamp or something to create a native rock look.

Any advise on the product and technique whether there is a membrane or a stamp and recommended manufacturer will be greatly appreciated.

With the words 'native adobe', am I to assume the SW USA?

In the SE USA we use pre made forms that match brick, stone, and other architectual finishes. I would talk to you local poured wall contractor to see what they have and where they get it. I have built concrete retaining walls that have an architectural stone appearance this way, I have also use cultured stone and brick veneer on the concrete face....you might be able to do this with your native stone.

As far as the coloring goes, your local concrete plant can guide you in what they offer...most of what we see is batched mix with die added on site just like fiber or super P.

I forgot to mention that Thread582-6814 of this forum may prove useful if you are looking for form manufacturers.
