Cement type 1L vs. Type II

Anyone had any previous experience using cement Type 1L (Portland-limestone cement)? What is the major performance difference between Type 1L and Type II?
What type of structure should avoid using Type 1L cement?
Does Type 1L cause any long-term issue that is not a problem for using Type II?
