Centering geometry on screen using keypad

Ive been told that there is a way to center geomerty on screen through the use of the keypad. I know this must seem pretty elimentary, and I appologize for that but your help would be appreciated.

Not sure about the keypad but, point on the geometry that you want in the center and click on middle button (mouse).
