Is there a way to place a centermark at the center of an obround slot/hole and not at the ends of the slot were the arc centers are?

Thanks,

Unfortunately no. I usually sketch centerlines and constrain them to the model edge midpoints.

I Kluge it. I put a construction circle in the sketch (usually circumscribing the slot length), show the sketch in the drawing, put the centermark on the circle, hide the sketch.

It worked in 2004, I haven't had to use it since so I don't know if it still works.

Thanks for the suggestions. I also submitted an enhancement request. We'll see where it goes.

Thanks,

I've also done the Gildashard thing. Both workarounds get the job done

Add centerline/continuous, select center of arc. Add temp lines to where you want centerline to end, then trim CL to the lines.

If you use the Slot feature from the Design Library, the dimensions are automatically placed at the centre of the slot. However, the centre is not marked.
