I have some files with a .cgm extension. What is that? What applications open that?

If you get MYRIAD it will open up cgm files along with many other cad files including 3D geometry. Its very nice

CGM is mostly a relic, the "beta" to the VHS that is DXF. A few old PDM systems still use it for cataloging 2D prints.

Not a bad format, but outmoded. A real pain to bring into CAD without 3rd party translators.

I seem t recall that MS Word could actually show CGM files. It's been a while since I had to do it. Bring the CGM file into a new MS Word document as a picture.

I could be the world's greatest underachiever, if I could just learn to apply myself.
