I have a wood diaphragm that looks like the one shown above. I just like to ask if what is the best simpson connector to connect the double toplate at the "+" portion.
The double top plate is acting as the chord for wind and earthquake along N - S direction and also carry a drag force for wind and earthquake along E - S. 1,2,A & B represents shearwall lines

thanks

I once liked to use flat A35's to formally transfer shear at the horizontal joint. Like bandaids. If there's a high out of plane shear to transfer at the top of a column to the diaphram I looked to an A35 angle application or H clip options. But with the newer catalogs, there's dozens of new options I can't even begin to nomenclate about. With each new catalog, life gets more complicated. The basic ideas still prevail, but the hardware is getting more specialized.

So as life gets more complicated, the engineers smile and become poets.
