Change a file from metric to inches altogether

Greetings:

If a file is open in standard units, and you import a part that was possibly modeled in metric units, is there a way to completely convert to standard units be it in your drafting to simply inquiry on length or a diameter?

No matter what units the file was created in, you can set the units (menu -> analysis -> units) as desired to report measurements in the desired unit. Be careful, as this also sets the default unit for new sketches; be sure to set the units back to the original after taking measurements if this is not desired. If you want to use a different unit system on the drawing, you'll need to change the drafting preferences (dimension -> text -> units).
