Does anyone have experience changing-over from a Saginaw hydraulic steering pump (automotive/GM) to an electical pump? How would I begin? Is there a possible donor pump?

The only thing I have seen related to this is using a Subaru XT-6 PS pump on a conventional steering system. It was not something of the size a saginaw would be on though!

The Citroen Saxo (small European saloon car) uses a 12v power steering pump and is commonly used for EPS conversions here in the UK.

It cost around £250 here with £100 surcharge if no exchange unit is available.

The Lamborghini Diablo we're doing at the moment has a VDO pump from a Mercedes Benz (not sure what model). It's pretty simple setup with a high current power supply and a trigger wire linked to the ignition.
