Changing extension line attachment

How do I change the points where extension lines are attached? I would prefer if I could change instead of making a new dimension.

Place your cursor over the extension line that you wish to edit and when the dimension highlights, press MB3, select the 'Edit Associativity...' option and you will be asked to select a new reference point/curve.
