I'm building an electric-assist bicycle and I'm trying to find a way to charge the 12 volt Sealed Lead Acid batteries I'll be using. There are six batteries in all, four 12v/12Ah and two 12v/17Ah arranged in a serries/parallel curcuit as shown in the picture below. Is it possible to charge them as "one big" battery? I have found an inexpensive 24V/5Amp charger made for SLA batteries; can I use that charger on this configuration? If not, what is the safest, most inexpensive way to charge these batteries (practicality would be helpful too)? Thank you.
