chemical milling

I am seeking any information and advice on the process of chemical milling of mild steel. All responses greatly appreciated.

I started this thread here on the chemical engineering section as I was not sure if the people that may know something about chemical engineering actually followed the posts on the mechanical engineering site. This problem i am having has such a huge impact on my business that it may send me broke if it is not resolved and I am looking everywhere i can to find a solution.

The problem is that the steel tube I am trying to mill has already been fabricated in position and the complete unit powdered coated and assembled. The job was sublet and the fabricators substituted 75x75 x4 mm tube with 75x75 x5 mm tube by mistake. The customer will not accept any changes in design to their drawings so modiying the outriggers in anyway is not acceptable. The cost of disassembling, repairing, powdercoating and reassemble will be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and as such would bankrupt my small business.

If your supplier changed material section without your knowledge then they are the ones who should be remaking the parts.
