chrome spring 3

Dear All,
I have been searching for the compatibility of chrome spring with the methane gas however, I didn't find anything. Can anyone advise how is the chrome spring compatibility with the methane gas?
If it is unknown, I believe, I will have to proceed with the bellow valve.

What is the issue? Chrome steel spring should be satisfactory for methane gas. Do you have other components in the gas? If spring material is an issue, it may be more economical to change the spring material,dependant on valve size, rather than protect the spring with a bellows.

Per ISO, only the term Safety Valve is used regardless of application or design.

We'd need more information on the process conditions to comment, is there substantial amounts of H2S in the stream?
